Field Service Technician

Your mission
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician with expertise in CNC machinery to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing CNC machines at customer sites. You’ll be the face of our company in the field, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal machine performance.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machines and automation systems on-site across West Coast in a timely and efficient manner
  • Install, commission, and test CNC machines and associated automation equipment at customer facilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity
  • Conduct machine demonstrations and provide technical expertise during customer visits
  • Accurately document all service activities, including parts used, labor time, and any technical issues encountered
  • Provide remote and telephone support to customers for troubleshooting and technical guidance
Your profile
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
  • Strong knowledge of CNC milling; familiarity with Heidenhain control systems is a plus
  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and basic CNC programming/setup
  • Professional customer interaction and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
